अच्छा हुआ तुम हार गए, जीतने पर लिखता तो लोग समझते कि आज ठुकठुकाने वाला खेल गया तो लोग उसके लिए लिख रहे हैं। पहली बार तुमको बेसहारा सा महसूस किया, वो तीन बार 2 लेने के बाद जिस तरीके से तुम हाँफ रहे थे मुझे लगा कि मेरी दुनिया रुक गई है, बगल में बैठा दोस्त बोला कि शेर सच में बूढ़ा हो गया है लेकिन उसकी अगली लाइन ये थी कि, हार फिर भी नहीं मानेगा। 

मैंने आखिरी के 4 ओवर तक किसी से कुछ नहीं कहा। 

क्या कहता? 

ये कि आखरी बॉल तक मुझे भरोसा है, जब तक माही क्रीज़ पर है। या ये कि, मुझे जीतता या हारता हुआ माही नहीं सिर्फ माही पसंद है।

आज पहली बार लगा कि क्यों तुम्हारी उम्र इतनी बढ़ गई? 

आज पहली बार महसूस हुआ कि माही अब सच में थक जाता है। विकेट के बीच दौड़ने में अब उसको दिक्कत हो रही है, वो पहले जितना फुर्तीला नहीं रहा शायद। 

हां, लेकिन इससे मोहब्बत कम नहीं होती है। जैसे तुम आखिरी तक लड़ते हो, हम आखिरी तक तुम्हारे साथ रहेंगे। 

जीत और हार तो इस मोहब्बत को कम और ज्यादा कर ही नहीं सकती। 

बगल में बैठा मित्र कह रहा था कि भले ही ठुक ठुका कर खेलें, लेकिन है तो भगवान ही! कैसे कोई नफरत कर सकता है इस इंसान से, ये हारता भी है तो शान से।

छोड़ो कोई बात नहीं, अगले मैच में ट्राई करना, फिट नहीं हो तो मत खेलना। मेरे लिए क्रिकेट की परिभाषा तुम ही हो। हारने पर इसीलिए लिख रहा हूँ ताकि ये एहसास बना रह सके कि हम बनावटी नहीं हैं।

छक्के मारने वाला माही सबको पसंद है, हांफ कर, हेलमेट खोल कर, अपने सांसों को ठीक करने वाला माही सिर्फ मुझे। 

जीत और हार से इतर, तुम बेहतर खेले, तुम जैसे खेलते हो वैसे खेलते रहना। 

ये टीवी, आईपीएल, टीम, लोग, क्रिकेट सब तुम्हारे कर्जदार रहेंगे। अंत में फिर से स्वाति मिश्रा की वो लाईन की, "हमने लंबे बालों वाले माही से लेकर सफेद दाढ़ी वाले एम एस को देखा है"

एक तरफ़ा आशिक़ . .

आज एहसासों को उमड़ने दो। पिछले काफी दिनों से कसक थी एक दिल में, कुछ जज़्बात दबे पड़े थे अंदर, नहीं निकलते कभी भी अगर घुटन ना होती तो।

दुनिया हमेशा सबसे खुशनुमा इंसान समझती है मुझे। क्यों? क्योंकि शायद मैंने खुद को ऐसे ही पेश किया है लोगों के सामने, लेकिन अब बस,अब वो दर्द नहीं सहा जाता है मुझसे,मेरे दर्द को आज अलफ़ाज़ बनने दो। कहते हैं कि दर्द को अगर ना सहलाओ अल्फाजों में तो नासूर की शक्ल अख़्तियार कर लेते हैं। इसलिए सोचा कि नासूर बनने से पहले इन्हें अल्फाज़ो की शक्ल दे दूँ।

बेइन्तहा मोहब्बत थी मुझे तुमसे। तुमहे तो पता ही था ना, सब कुछ जानती थीं तुम तो। कभी मेरे दिल में उमड़े उन ख़्यालों को भी भांप लेती, जिन्हें मैं ज़ाहिर भी करता था लेकिन तुम तो ठहरी बेपरवाह, उन सब ख़्यालों को इग्नोर ही कर देती थीं।

मैं शून्य हूँ अब। बस मुस्कुरा रहा हूँ मगर जानती हो, मैंने भी रोके रखा है, एक समुन्दर सा अपने अंदर मुस्कुराहट के पर्दों के पीछे।

तुम जा रही थीं और मैं पागल अपने छोटे से दिल को सिर्फ तसल्ली दे रहा था, वो भी बेवजह कि तुम हो अब भी मेरे पास।

तुम जानती हो, मैं कभी फेसबुक खोलूँ तो उसपे 'what's on your mind' देख कर सबसे पहला ख़्याल क्या आता है ? 'सिर्फ तुम' और फिर जादू होता है,अचानक ही तुम्हारा नाम उँगलियाँ टाइप करने लगती हैं। फिर कहीं पोस्ट ना जाने के डर से सब कुछ डिलीट कर देता हूँ।

तुम जानती हो ना मुझे तुम्हारा नाम कितना पसंद था? दिन में एक बार ज़रूर सर्च करता हूँ तुम्हें फेसबुक पर और सबसे पहले नज़र जाती है तुम्हारी डीपी पर। तुम्हें तो पता ही है कि तुम्हारे बाद मेरे पास ही तुम्हारी तस्वीरों का सबसे बड़ा कलेक्शन था। चिंता मत करो अभी तक वो सारी तस्वीरें मेरे पास हैं और उन्हें मिसयूज़ नही करूँगा। प्यार किया है तुमसे, तुम्हारी इज्ज़त मेरी जान से बढ़कर है। बस सब कुछ हाईड करके रखा हुआ है। दिल के एक कोने में छुपा कर रखीं हैं तुम्हारी यादें।

सभी नाते खत्म हो गए हैं अब तुम्हारे साथ लेकिन मेरे autocorrect में अभी तक तुम्हारा नाम छाया हुआ है।

तुम सोच रही होगी कि शायद खुश हूँ मै, हँस रहा हूँ, मगर तुमने अभी तक आँखे नही पढ़ी हैं मेरी, खाली आँखे। मेरे जज़्बातों को कभी पढ़ने की कोशिश करना, फिर शायद तुम्हें एहसास हो जाये कि मैंने अपने आप को ही खो दिया तुम्हें पाने की इंतहा में।

बहुत मासूम सी हो और बहुत प्यारी भी हो, मगर सुनो ना, तुम अब मिल नहीं सकती मुझे।इसलिए जाओ अब, खुश रहो आबाद रहो हमेशा।

कुछ वक़्त तो लगेगा अब नासूर भरने में लेकिन निशान कभी नहीं जायेंगे।

जानता था कि यह दिन कभी न कभी आना ही था। ऐसे अचानक आएगा, यह भी जानता था, लेकिन कहीं न कहीं दिल में एक उम्मीद थी कि शायद धोनी, एक बार सिर्फ़, धोनी वाला काम नहीं करेगा। उम्मीद थी कि शायद उसको एक आखिरी बार नीली जर्सी में और देख पाएँगे। पर भई धोनी है वो, वो है ही ऐसा। क्या कर जाए, कोई नहीं सोच सकता। 

अपने आप में अजूबा है, भला कौन खिलाड़ी बीच टेस्ट सीरीज़ में सन्यास ले लेता है, वो भी अपने अच्छे दौर में? कौन भला 199 मैच की कप्तानी को 200 किए बिना बीच में ही छोड़ देता है? कौन करता है भई ऐसा? कोई ऐसा खिलाड़ी नहीं देखा जो अपनी बेटी के पैदा होने के टाइम पर यह कह दे कि अभी "नेशनल ड्यूटी" पर हूँ, बाकी सब इंतज़ार कर सकता है। और कौन करता है ऐसे, 15 अगस्त को अपनी आज़ादी की घोषणा। 

जब छोटा था, तो सचिन उम्मीद हुआ करता था, जब सचिन ने क्रिकेट छोड़ा तो वो उम्मीद धोनी बन चुका था। सचिन से ज़्यादा प्यार धोनी से हो गया था। सचिन से ज़्यादा ओहदा धोनी का था मेरे लिए। उसकी तमाम वजहें रहीं, पर अनहोनी को होनी करने का विश्वास धोनी ने ही तो जगाया था।

मेरे पापा को कभी क्रिकेट में दिलचस्पी नहीं थी, पर जब धोनी आया, तो पापा ने अगर टाइम रहा तो, उसकी हर पारी देखी। मुझे याद है, वेस्ट इंडीज के दौरे पर 2006-07 के समय, मेरे पापा मुझे रात में 1-2 बजे उठाते और कहते देख धोनी खेल रहा है और हम साथ में उसकी बैटिंग देखते। उसकी बैटिंग, विकेट कीपिंग, कप्तानी, सब कितनी निराली थी न!

कभी कभी सोचता हूँ, कितना मुश्किल और आसान है, धोनी हो जाना - दोनों का एक साथ होना। कितना जटिल फिर भी सरल। दुख, गुस्सा, खुशी का इतना शानदार-मनमोहक बैलेंस। दिखना-दिखाना सिर्फ़ खेल में, उसके बाहर एकदम चुपचाप, गुमनाम ज़िन्दगी। लाइमलाइट से कोसों दूर, एक बेहतरीन इंसान। एक बेहतरीन दोस्त।

पर फिर भी बहुतों को खटकता रहा है धोनी, पहले यह बात बुरी लगती थी, पर अब लगता है कि हर अच्छे इंसान को सारे लोग अच्छा नहीं समझ सकते हैं। और इसलिए अब फ़र्क नहीं पड़ता है ऐसे लोगों से।

कितना कुछ है लिख देने को, कितना कुछ। इतना कि शायद मन ही न भरे। पर वक़्त का कुछ ऐसा तक़ाज़ा है कि रोकना है खुद को। आज ख़ुशी और ग़म दोनों के भाव हैं। खुशी उसको खेलता हुआ देखने की, ग़म उसको और न खेलते देख पाने का। इसके आखिरी मैच के बाद से एक मैच नहीं देखा है, और शायद अब देखना भी नहीं हो पाएगा। पहले सचिन था, फिर धोनी, और अब कोई नहीं है। एक टीस भी है, एक बार खुद सामने से खेलते न देख पाने की धोनी को।

Dear Brother,

You’re special. I’ve never really had a lot of people I feel comfortable talking to. So every time I was low or upset, I usually resorted to ignoring most of my problems instead of figuring out where I went wrong and attempting to make things better. But we met and became friends And for some reason, I thought you could be the person I could confide in. After being friends for over a year now, sharing dreams, stories and fantasies, my trust in you has only grown beyond light years. You’ve made me realize the importance of having friends, and maintaining relations. You’ve helped me value my relations. So much of who I am and how I think is thanks to you.

You taught me what it is to be loyal, and what it is like to share an exclusive friendship with one person. You taught me the beauty of having a friend who feels like family. And even though my life without you would’ve been like a pile of abandoned puppies, I know that I don’t need to talk to you every day; because that would be like checking in with your sibling every 24 hours which would only lead to silly arguments and unsolicited fights.

I love you. There are not a lot of people I’d take a bullet for. I don’t think I tell you enough. I know that it’ll probably be really hard to find a more battered, bruised, broken, screwed-up person than me in this world, and that I’m not really deserving of the love that I am so freely offered. And a few crazy souls like you, for some strange reason, go on offering it anyway. But their love is often so unglamorous and indispensable to my life that it is almost invisible, and the fact that I don’t thank them more for it is a crime.

Out of all the words to describe you, I think the word that is most accurate is kind. And no wonder being family with you these past 18+ years has made me someone I’m proud to be. You’re so many more adjectives (noble, generous, passionate, helpful and implausibly caring), but your kindness is unrelenting and I’m certain it will bring all the awesomosity in the world that you deserve. Words are insufficient, but you need to know how amazingly awesome you are, so they’re going to have to do for now, anyway. I promise to always be here, somewhere in the background to remind you every day, lest you ever doubt it.

You’re smart and intelligent. And no matter how lost you feel, I know for a fact that wherever you find yourself, will be the right place. It breaks my heart to think of you struggling, because I know sometimes you do. Because, I do, too. Stories, I believe, are often told to make someone hero. I often wonder, for someone like Dhoni, who prefers to remain private person off-field, what are they going to tell the world about him other than his innings? Journalists chase him down, track down his movements, watch him play in nets, and with very limited information, they still manage to surprise the world. Hero, with less-known heroic stories. Dhoni, as person, is like that. He prefers to stay like that. My journey to favourtism starts with such little observations. I okay-dokay the same.

 Nothing seems impossible when Dhoni walks in. Arey bhai, he himself has established this confidence in 1.3 billion hearts. In a world of uncertainty, he has won battles in last overs. He has lost some as well. Fans get something, critics get something. Everyone meets their desires. Good.

When his well-wishers almost threaten you with sharp words — "once he's gone off field, like forever, then you'll understand how your observations were very limited." You better believe them. We can't Afridified everyone. In Test cricket, India manages well without someone like MS, but the answer lies, again, in format. In red ball cricket, you get perennial time to undo your mistakes, to address your mistakes. Limited overs format goes by its name, it's literally limited. You need your think-tank intact. You need to map strategies and adjust yourself with it, over by over. Don't take it from me, ask the players, especially bowlers. They tell you better, I'm sure.

You Deserve The World My Brother

Dear Brother,

I know it hurts right now. I know that it feels like every breath is hard work, but you’re strong, the spark inside you has not gone out – no one has the power to do that to you, you need to remember that. I know that at the moment you may be hurting and that you may be feeling low. Usually, you are the person that helps me get through a bad day and now that you are going through a tough time. It hurts me to see you this upset. If there's one piece of advice I could offer you from what I've learned in life, it's that it always gets better. Right now it may seem like a never-ending cycle of bad news, bad days, and constantly feeling overwhelmed. Just remember that there's always a light at the end of the tunnel and everything will be just fine.

When you have bad days that just won't let up, I just hope that you will look in the mirror and remind yourself what you are and what you are not. You are not your mistakes. You are not damaged goods. You are not the opinion of someone who doesn't know you. You are a product of the lessons that you've learned. You are wiser because you went through something terrible. And, you are the person who survived a bunch of rainstorms and kept walking.

You are a wonder. I have seen you accomplish, fail, love, lose, sing, cry and laugh at your worst and at your best. You work hard for everything in your life and continue to strive for more. You're also the one that I can slack off with, goofing around as if nothing else in the world matters at the time but the sound of our laughter. You continue to amaze me and one day you're going to surprise yourself, even if it's not right now. I couldn't be more proud of the person you are and how you carry yourself. Your dedication and strength are inspiring, and you are going to have everything you want in life. Keep reaching and never change.

I believe that God is testing your strength because he knows you have the power to withstand anything. And with the power of God and those who you surround yourself with, I know you can overcome this. I believe in you.

I couldn’t dream of a cooler guy being there for me to share my laughs, tears, frustrations, smiles and ridiculous stories with. For that am forever grateful. You will always entertain my ideas of idiocy, yet u know exactly what to say in every situation.

I love knowing that I have someone I can always call, depend on and trust.

You have always been an inspiration to me. You are a constant reminder that it is possible to be kind, sassy, genuine, talented, confident, humble and downright hilarious all at the same time ....  And m serious here....

Sometimes I wonder how would be my life without u .....
I know that there are other friends but no one like you ... There is no one who knows to say the right words in the right time ....and  no one who does nonsense like you.....

It's been 18 years since we meet.

Aankhe band karke ghanti tak usi se baate karta hu.

Uski Chaal - Dhaal , Uski Sayyam, Uski adatein,
Kya charitra Kya kirdar hai wo .
Wo Khiladi ,Kaptaan , Hero baad me hoga ,

Jab chote chote shehro galiyo me aaj bhi lambe chakke Marta hai .
Dekha hoga  aapne bhi har koi use Dhoni ke siwa koi aur Naam se nahi pukarta hai.
Un chote nanhe shehro me kuch bade se sapne palte hai.
Theharkar par ruk kar nahi ,
Unke sapno ke deep jalte hai.

Jab kuch sapno se aa milta hu,
Toh aksar Mahi ke misale dekhar unme Vishwas prajwalit karta hu.
Wo khud me ek duniya hai ,
Aur Mai uske bepanah Mohabbat me jiya karta hu.

Sikh kar wo path jo ek cricket se hat kar padhata hai.
Shant mann aur mushkil gadiyo me khud ka Sath na chorna har pal wo sikhta hai .
Sari Shakti Ko wo kaise ekatrit karta hai .
Kisi se bhi badhakar Jeevan Ko mere wo prabhavit karta hai.

Itne logo ke samne apni khuda ki ibaadat karte huye kafi jazbat umadte hai .
Kahi wo Jaan na Jaaye  ki  unki muskaan me Mai khuda talasha karta hu.

Haan haan .... Mere Dost mai Mehendra Singh Dhoni se betahasha Mohabbat karta hu ..

Colors Of Love

I've been thinking of a painting

That I've created in my mindIt's a painting of something specialFor which colors are hard to findI've searched all overEven the rainbow that leads to the goldIn hope of finding those special colorsFor my canvas to hold.

I know this painting would turn out rightIf I had those colors to startSpecial colors full of emotionsFrom which I could paint from my heartI'm not really a painterJust a person with an empty palette of dreamsSomeone searching for the color of loveAnd searching forever as it seems

What is the color of loveAnd why is it so hard to find.I know exactly what it looks likeBut I only see it in my mindPerhaps those colors are already with meSomewhere deep insideAnd can only be released through my emotionsWhich I know I just can't hide

There's a masterpiece in my heartWhich my canvas will soon acquireAnd with every brush stroke that I'd makeIt soon would be ready to admireWhere is that special colorThat I need so very muchTo add to my paletteAnd give my painting its one final touch.

This vision I have in my mindIs really a painting of youThere's no need for rainbowsOnly feelings that I know are trueI believe with all my heartThat love is any color you want it to beFor a masterpiece painted with loveCan be very special, for you and for me.

दिल में  प्यार  और  आँखों  में  ममता  छलकाती  हमारे  लिए

लबों पे दुआ और चेहरे पे मुस्कान हमेशा रखती हमारे लिए

न खुद की कोई चाह न करे परवाह वो फ़िक्र करे  हमारे लिए

हम फूलो की सेज पे कदम रखें वो काँटों पे चलती हमारे लिए

दुखों की चादर झाड़कर खुशियों का बिस्तर लगाये  हमारे लिए

ज़रूरत पड़े तो बन जाए दोस्त तो कभी गुरु बने हमारे लिए

कभी खुद ही बलैया ले कभी डर के नज़र भी उतारे हमारे लिए

आ जाए कोई मुश्किल वो दुआ करे और राह दिखलाए हमारे लिए

वो ''माँ'' ही है बस जो हर पल खुशियाँ मांगे बस हमारे लिए  ,

वो '' माँ '' ही है  जिसने  दिया सब कुछ,मैं क्या  मांगू  उसके लिए

ऐ  खुदा बस मेरी '' माँ'' को हर पल मेरे बस करीब ही रखना

ऐ  ''खुदा ''बस ''माँ ''की छाया में मुझे महफूज़ ही रखना

ऐ ''खुदा'' हर जनम मेरी ''माँ ''में ही मेरा वज़ूद ही रखना  .
